Winter Lockdown

Greater Sydney has been placed into a two week lockdown.

No structured community sport is allowed, therefore, our Winter Holiday Camp is CANCELLED. All camp attendees will be given a full credit for future basketball sessions and an SMS will be tomorrow with further information.

All private 1v1 sessions are also cancelled.

NSBL Club Email (sent Friday afternoon 11/6): Where has 2021 gone? This year is blitzing past us so quickly. After School Sessions and the Adult Comp have settled into the new hall at St Ives. Our Sunday comp has gained momentum at our alternate venue in Belrose. Thanks again to all members for your flexibility and support during an interesting start to the year. Long weekend: No basketball on Sunday June 13th & Monday June 14th. A number of updates for the club:

• Venues for the remainder of 2021:

  • After School & Adult Mixed Comp (Wednesdays) at St Ives High.

  • Sunday Competition & Sunday K-2s remaining at Belrose (Covenant Christian School). This is as a result of a school activity requiring the use of the St Ives sports hall on weekends.

  • Holiday Camps in Terrey Hills (German International School). This is due to ongoing construction works at St Ives High during the school holidays

General reminders: Please park legally (outside the school, not on school grounds) and drive safely as most drop-off & pick-up times are very busy. If unwell, please do not attend any sessions. Remain vigilant with good hygiene practices and use common sense with any flu symptoms. QR code check-in and hand sanitiser at the entrance of all venues. Basketballs: NSBL has plenty of TF250 Size 7s remaining. These great indoor/outdoor basketballs normally retail at $60-65. NSBL is selling them at $40 ($44 including gst). 8 years ago, in May 2013, the club logo was being released for the first time and we were almost at 30 members. NSBL has grown just a little...

NSBL has reached a new milestone. 600 members a week playing in club sessions! The above figure does not include 1v1s, external teams and in school hour sessions, if it did it would be closer to 700 people playing basketball with the club.

Thank you to the following: St Ives High School, for hosting us for many years beforehand & no doubt many years ahead. Covenant Christian School (Belrose), for your incredible flexibility & ultimately saving our 2021 Sunday operations. German International School (Terrey Hills), for your flexibility and hosting our 2021 holiday camps.
